Sign my… Inbox? Sabathia, Mattingly, Dickey, Wright Share Personalities With Egraphs

Several players with New York connections are part of the recently-launched Egraphs, a kind of personalized electronic signature now available for select stars.  C.C. Sabathia of the Yankees, R.A. Dickey and David Wright of the Mets and all-time Yanks great Don Mattingly are among the dozens of players already signed on.

An egraph is a unique, authenticated, handwritten note and a personal audio message from the star captured on a high-resolution photo that can be shared online and offline.

Former Major Leaguer Gape Kapler, now director of business development for Egraphs, spoke to NY SportsDay recently, summing it up as “a shared experience between the fan and his favorite celebrity, immortalized forever, a handwritten, personalized message that the player creates on their iPad, for a fan, along with a short voice recording.”

An egraph for a top player like Sabathia goes for $100, while an up and comer like the Mets’ Tim Byrdak is priced at $25.  A Mattingly egraph, perhaps surprisingly, is in between at $75.

Justin Turner of the Mets is the only other current New York player (though Kapler says more are to come).  Former standouts like Pedro Martinez and Gary Sheffield are also on the Egraphs roster.
